Marty Bridges

Marty Bridges, 56, of Kings Mountain, went home to be with The Lord, on November 5, 2022, at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.

He was born October 14, 1966, in Cleveland County, son of the late James Martin Bridges Sr. and Betty Tate Bridges.

Marty loved his family with all his heart. He loved to coach baseball and football.

He loved traveling and taking long drives thru the country.

A memorial service will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, November 10, 2022, at First Baptist Church of Kings Mountain, 605 West King Street Kings Mountain, officiated by Pastor Chip Sloan.

The family will receive friends 11-12:30 prior to the service at the church.

Honorary Pallbearers will be all the players Marty coached through the years and also his fellow classmates from high school.

Marty is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Debbie Litaker Bridges; sons, Tyler Bridges and wife Courtney, Jeremy Bridges and fiancée, Kristen Stinnette; sister, Dianne Fredell and husband Wayne, Lynn Drawdy and husband Sam; grandchildren, Wyatt, Lynnelee, Parker; fur baby Dixie; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Marty was preceded in death by his sister, Kathy Bridges.
