Martin Henry Petry

Martin Henry Petry, 60, of Shelby, passed away on February 14, 2025, at atrium Cleveland Hospital in Shelby, NC.

He was born May 23, 1964, in Dade County, Florida.

Martin loved his family and enjoyed spending as much time as he could with them.

He loved being outdoors and creating beautiful landscapes.

A celebration of Martin's life will be held 5:00 pm Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Road Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Eric Lance

Martin is survived by his mother, Ellen Maloney Petry; fiancée, Meghan Carrie Wright; son, Declan Petry; stepdaughters, Jennifer Somero, Kai Wright, Emma Wright; brother, Don Petry (Maryanne); sister, Ellen Whalen (Terry).

Martin was preceded in death by his father, Donald Petry; wife Tracy Petry.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the children in honor of Martin.
