Martha Faye Weaver

Martha Faye Weaver, 82, of Gastonia, passed away December 6, 2022, at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.

She was born January 1, 1940, in Gaston County, daughter of the late Bethia Mayes.

Martha loved her Lord, reading his word daily and praying to him. She was a member of New Testament Church of The Firstborn in Gastonia, and she enjoyed spending time with her church family and preparing the church for any special events. She truly loved people and was always willing to help them. She was a very kind, caring and loving lady.

She loved all animals and had rescued many.

A memorial service will be held Noon, Saturday, December 10, 2022, at New Testament Church of The Firstborn, 1510 Hargrove Avenue Gastonia, officiated by Kevin Kellough, Pastor Curtis Wilson and Pastor Scott Huffstetler.

The family will receive friends after the service at the church.

Martha is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Larry Weaver; daughters, Sharon Denise Richardson, Theresa Lynn Lay and husband Darrell; sister, Gloria Heath; three grandchildren, Sarah, Miranda, AJ; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Jo Ann Bryson and husband David, Sandra Featherstone, Phyllis Bridges and husband Darrell; brother-in-law, Jerry Weaver; her fur babies, Happy, Izzy and Bandit.

In addition to her mother, Martha was preceded in death by her brother Jimmy Mayes.
