Martha Dowell Goins

Martha Dowell Goins, 94, of York, SC, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2023, at White Oak Manor in York, SC.

She was born in Gaston County on February 26, 1929, to the late Will and Minnie Dowell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Cie Goins Sr.; sons, Jerry Wayne Goins, Larry Joe Goins; brothers, JC, Jack and Billy Dowell; sisters, Evelyn Richmond, Kathlene Morris, Judy Grimes, Lucille Moore and Geraldine Dowell.

Martha is survived by her sons, Ricky Goins (Beth), James Goins Jr.; brothers, Ronald Dowell, Conroe Dowell; grandchildren, James Goins III, Joseph Goins, Danielle Goins, Dean Goins, Joe Goins, Kheirston Moore; great-grandchildren, Austin Goins, Kylie Goins, Caleb Goins, Dakota Dutton, Nate Williams, Keldon Williams, Cahliya Williams.

A Funeral Service officiated by Reverend Sam Barnette, will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, March 17, 2023 at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Road, Gastonia, NC 28054. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.
