Marsha Hendrix Rush

Marsha Hendrix Rush, 68, of Gastonia, went to be with the Lord on July 11, 2015, at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia. She was born December 17, 1946 in York County, daughter of the late Marvin Hendrix and Mildred Norris Hendrix. Marsha had an amazing zest for life and lived her life to the fullest. She had a big heart of love and joy for her family and friends. Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 49 years, Don Rush; son, DeWayne Rush and wife, Michelle; grandchildren, Meredith and Aubrey Rush; and a very special friend, Cheryl Whitfield. A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday at 7:00pm at First Presbyterian Church, Founders Hall, 512 Old Mt. Holly Rd. Stanley N.C. 28164. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be sent to Stanley Total Living Center, 514 Old Mt. Holly Rd., Stanley, N.C. 28164, designated for the Alzheimer's Community. Marsha's mother was a resident of the TLC Alzheimer's Unit years ago. Marsha joyfully spent her days caring for and visiting with Mildred. We believe she would be pleased to help support the services to the residents, their caregiving families, and research to find a cure for this disease.
