Mark Cray Thompson

Mark Cray Thompson, Sr., 57, of Lowell, passed away May 15, 2015, at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia. He was born April 11, 1958, in Chester County, son of the late Troy Thompson and Frances Thompson. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Anne Laura Haile. Left to cherish his memories are his sons, David Scott Crenshaw, Bill Crenshaw, Mark Cray Thompson, Jr., Jonathan Thompson; daughter, Beth Thompson; brothers, Ronald Smith (Jo Ann), Stanley Smith (Barbara); and 5 grandchildren. A celebration of life service will be held 2pm, Friday, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 South York Rd. Gastonia, officiating the Rev. Greg Bachelor. The family will receive friends following the service. Interment is private. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
