Mark "Aaron" Putnam, 40, of Kings Mountain, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Kings Mountain Hospital.
He was born July 19, 1976 in Mecklenburg Co., to Mark Roger Putnam and Deborah Stroupe Lynch.
Aaron was a kind hearted person and loved by all. He loved his God, family, friends and co-workers at Lending Tree where he was employed for the last 14 years. He was a graduate of Hunter Huss and attended Gaston College. He was also a graduate of ECPI with a degree in computer technology. He was a corporal in United States Marine Corps who served in a tour overseas in Okinawa. He was a rifle range coach for three years at Parris Island. So many have spoken of his kindness and loving spirit.
He is preceded in death by his Putnam grandparents, Stroupe grandparents and uncle, Gene Putnam.
In addition to his parents, left to cherish his memories are his siblings, Ronnie, Rusty, Michael, Kevin, Dawn and Mark; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and beloved pet, Aussie.
A celebration of life service, officiated by Pastor Darrell Alexander, will be held 6 p.m. Saturday September 3, at Trinity Church of the Living God 119 Kristie Lane Kings Mountain, NC. 28086 in the church sanctuary.
A meal will be served to family and friends at 5 pm in the church barn prior to the service.
