Mark S. Holbrooks

Gastonia, NC Mark S. Holbrooks, 53, went to meet the Lord on February 23, 2013, at Cottingham Hospice House, Seneca, SC. He was born July 23, 1959 in Gastonia, son of Billie Aldridge Holbrooks and the late Thomas Holbrooks Sr.. Mark was a loving father, son, grandpa, brother and friend, who loved the outdoors. He was a member of Victorious Valley Baptist Church, where he was baptized. A funeral service will be held 12 noon on Wednesday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by the Revs. Tommy Holbrooks, Jason Casey and Jeff Krontz. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Hollywood Cemetery, Gastonia. In addition to his mother he is survived by: son, Josh Holbrooks and his wife, Jennifer; daughter, Molly Holbrooks; brothers, Tommy Holbrooks and his wife, Teresa, David Holbrooks and his wife, Gina, Gary Holbrooks and his wife, Sarah; sister, Susan McGill Holbrooks; grandchildren, Addison, Isaac, Blake, Kaylee and Cameron Holbrooks; many special nieces and nephews. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by: his brother, Randy Holbrooks. Memorials may be made to Victorious Valley Girls Home, 140 Victorious Valley Dr., Sunset, SC 29685.
