Mark Chane Benton, 35, of Clover, SC, passed away June 19, 2016 at his residence.

He was born September 12, 1980 in Richmond County, NC, the son of Michael Nelson Benton Sr. and the late Sarah Scott Benton.

Left to cherish his memories are his son Nichalas Benton of Gastonia; father Michael Benton Sr.; significant other Shae Inman; brothers Michael Benton Jr. of Mint Hill and Walter Allen Benton of Lumberton; sister Melinda Benton of Gastonia; niece Sadie; nephew Haydon and a host of aunts and uncles.

A memorial service, officiated by Pastor Mike Rice will be held 1 pm Friday, June 24th at Parkwood Baptist Church, 1729 E. Garrison Blvd., Gastonia.
