Marilyn Ledford Tidwell

Marilyn Ledford Tidwell, 94, of Belmont, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2023 at her residence.

She was born in Swaine County, NC on January 8, 1929 to the late Zeb and Emma Jane Ledford.

Marilyn was a member of Mountain Rest Baptist Church in Mountain Rest, SC. She loved to cook and bake. She loved her family. She taught Sunday School for over 40 years and was a member of the WMU.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lindy Tidwell; brother, Phil Ledford; sister, Helen Southern.

Marilyn is survived by her son, Ronnie Tidwell and wife Robin; sister, Carolyn Jean Pitts and husband Allan; one granddaughter, Casey Walkowiak and husband Robert; two great-grandchildren, Briana Hannon, Haven Walkowiak.

A graveside service officiated by Pastor Joe Lawing, will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, March 24, 2023 at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery, 5008 South New Hope Road Belmont, NC 28012.
