Marilyn Reep Friday went to be with Jesus, December 27, 2014, at Caromont Regional Medical Center. She was born August 12, 1932 in Gaston County. She was the daughter of the late Furman and Lena Slaton Reep. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Clyde Friday; daughter, Anita Bradshaw; sister, Martha Mosteller and her brothers, Kenneth and Furman Reep. She was a member of Landers Chapel United Methodist Church. She is survived by her sons, Clyde Friday and wife Anita of Dallas, Timothy Friday and wife Pam of Kings Mountain, daughter, Chrystal Lingerfelt and husband Gary of Dallas; grandchildren, David Friday, Stephanie Robbins, Kayla Moss, Tyler Campbell, Christopher Lingerfelt, Seth Friday, Logan Friday, and Colin Friday; great-grandchildren, David and Lacey Friday; brother, Joe Reep; sisters and brother in-law; Sylvia Smith and husband Harold, and Pat Reiman; a number of nieces and nephews. Our family would like to thank Alexandria Place for taking care of our mother for many years and to Gaston Hospice for their love and compassion for our family during mother's last days. The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm Friday, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia. Funeral service will be held at 2 pm Saturday, at Landers Chapel United Methodist Church, Lincolnton. Officiating Pastors are Scott Whitney, Gerald Ramsey, Joe Edwards, and Harold Smith. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
