Marileigh Spivey Watts

Marileigh Spivey Watts, 78, of Gastonia, passed away December 27, 2015 at her residence.

She was born October 23, 1937 in Cherokee County the daughter of the late Harley and Florence Spivey.

Marileigh was a member of Alexis Baptist Church.  She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister and went to be with the Lord. She loved gardening and working with flowers and always seen the best of everyone. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Christopher and wife Tammy and Bill and wife Minnie; sister Shirley Conner; 6 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Watts; son Andrell Watts and brother Ray Spivey and wife Georgia.

A funeral service will be held 2 pm Thursday at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by the Rev. Richard Cole.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Gaston Memorial Park.
