Marie Moose Underwood

Marie Moose Underwood, 87, of Gastonia, N.C. passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Peak Resources, Gastonia.

She was born October 16, 1929 in Gaston County, daughter of the late Walter Henry Moose and Hattie Mae Moose.

Marie was a member of Faith Baptist Church, Gastonia. She was formerly employed by Threads of Gastonia and her hobbies were raising her dogs and karate.

Left to cherish her memories are her sister, Shirley Moore; brother, Harvey Moose; cousin, Jackie Enwright; nephews, Todd Moose, Michael Medlin, Gary Shoemaker, Wade Shoemaker; nieces, Cindy Windsor and husband Michael, Barbara Wallace; special friends and caregivers, Iris Williams, Frank Berkley, Georgia Speights.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Glenn Underwood; brothers, Paul David Moose, Webb Henry Moose; sisters, Clara Mae Moose and Eunice Bell Moose.

A funeral service officiated by Rev. Robin Harris will be held 1pm Saturday October 7, 2017 at Greene Funeral Service 1503 S. York Road, Gastonia.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia.
