Marie Elaine Matheny

Marie Elaine Matheny, age 64, passed away September 20, 2013 at her home. She was born July 6, 1949 in Gaston County, daughter of the late William and Betty Earney Jenkins. A graveside and interment service will be held 3:00 pm on Sunday at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City, officiated by Rev. Davey Goble. The family will receive friends 1:00 - 2:30 pm on Sunday at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd., Gastonia. She is survived by: her husband, Steve Matheny of the home; son, Chris Adair; daughter, Leah Goble; brother, Greg Jenkins; sisters, Linda Camp and Lisa Jenkins; seven grandsons, one granddaughter and one great granddaughter. Memorials may be made to Gaston Hospice, P. O. Box 3984, Gastonia, NC 28054. Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
