Marie Barber Becerra

Estelle Marie Barber Becerra, 51, of Mount Holly, NC, sadly passed away on February 20, 2023, at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.

She had suffered many years with multiple illnesses, so it is of great comfort knowing she is up in Heaven now at peace.

She was born in Eden, North Carolina, on March 29, 1971, to the late David Lee Barber and Connie Jean Mize. She was a 1989 graduate of John Motley Morehead Senior High School.

Marie was a devoted, loving mother who sacrificed daily to put her family's needs ahead of her own. There was never a dull moment with Marie. Her fun-loving spirit and good heart will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepmom Mae Frances Barber, her grandfather Jerry Guy Barber, and her grandmother Helen Marie Kirkman.

Left to cherish Marie's memory are her fiancé Paul Zandlo; her three children, Julio and Anhelena, and Coby Vaughan; her sisters, Juanita Reynolds [husband Leslie Duaine Reynolds Jr.], Samantha Holder [husband Alex Holder], and Tammy Barber Alvarez; her brothers, Rodney and Scotty Hall; her nieces and nephews, Duaine III, Jerry, Noah, and Helen Reynolds, Selina Survin, Lorena and Gabriella Servin, Isabella Alvarez, Alexis, and Kaydence Hall; her stepmom Elianne Barber Garrett; and numerous cousins and great friends.

Services will be held at Redemption Road Baptist Church in Reidsville, NC, on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 1:00 PM.
