Marian Stoner Lanford

Marian Stoner Lanford, 66, of Gastonia passed away February 21, 2014 at the Robin Johnson House, Dallas. She was born June 22, 1947 in Enoree, SC, daughter of the late Wales Stoner and Sara Summey Stoner. A memorial service will be held 6:00 pm Tuesday February 25th at New Hope Baptist Church, Gastonia officiated by Rev. Dr. Ned Buckner. A visitation will be held 4:00-5:45pm at the church before the service. Interment will be private. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and worked over 40 years at the former Gaston Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Lanford is survived by: her husband of 45 years, James Lanford; son, Jamie Lanford; daughter, Lorie Armstrong and husband Mark; brothers, Henry Stoner and wife Lynn, Tommy Stoner; grandchildren, Dawson and Hayden Armstrong. Memorials may be made to the Robin Johnson House, PO Box 3984, Gastonia, NC 28054. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
