Marian Jean Farmer

Marian Jean Farmer, 85, of Gastonia, formerly of Cato, NY, passed away June 21, 2015 at Meadowwood Nursing Center. She was born June 1, 1930 in Syracuse, NY, daughter of the late Leslie and Louise Lane. Left to cherish her memory are children and their spouses, Lorraine Farmer Young and husband Larry of Gastonia, Lynne Farmer Kowalski and husband Scott of Gastonia, Lawrence R. Farmer of Atwater, CA; grandchildren, Sherry L. and Christy J. Hayden, Jason Kowalski and Jeremy Farmer; special nieces, Sandra Brown of New York, Sharon Merritt of New York and Gail Napolitano of Virginia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Frederick C. Farmer and cousin, Robert Donohue. A memorial service will be held 11 am Saturday, June 27th at Generation Church, 625 Neal Hawkins Road, Gastonia, officiated by the Revs. John Gibbs and Charles Russell. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: National Wildlife Fund - PO Box 1583, Merrifield, VA 22116-1583. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
