Margie N. Smith

Dallas, NC Margie N. Smith, 86, passed away October 31, 2012, at her home. She was born June 1, 1926 in Gaston County, daughter of the late Frank Randolph Nolen and Cora Lee Stuart Nolen. Mrs. Smith was a very sweet person, loving wife, mother and grandmother, who was adored by all. A funeral service will be held 8 pm on Saturday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by Pastor John Johnson. The family will receive friends 7-8 pm on Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment is private. She is survived by: her loving husband of 65 years, James Smith; children and their spouses, William and Jane Smith of Dallas, Rebecca Self of Dallas, Ronnie Smith of South Carolina, Gary and Charlotte Smith of Kingsville, TX, Brian Smith of Dallas, John and Regina Smith of Dallas, Phyllis and James Hammonds of Dallas, 18 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: a son, Paul David Smith; son in-law, Earl Self; daughter in-law, Helen Stout Smith; grandsons, Mark Stuart and Clayton James Smith. Memorials may be made to the Charity of Donor's Choice in Margie's memory. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium.
