Margie Funderburk Simonds, 85, of Gastonia, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at Peak Resources.
She was born on January 7, 1934, a native of Gaston County.
Survivors include her sons, Darrell and Margaret Simonds, Jeff and Marlene Simonds; daughters, Lori and Reagen Garrison and Sandy and Ronnie Thomas; 4 brothers, 4 sisters; 6 grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Simonds and grandson, Jeremy Wilson.
The family will receive friends 11 – 12 pm on Tuesday at New Buffalo Baptist Church, 1010 Lavender Road, Grover, NC.
The funeral service officiated by Pastor Adam Green will follow at 12 pm at the church.
Burial will be in Gaston Memorial Park.
