**Obituary for Margaret Frances Oshan**

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Margie Frances Oshan, who peacefully left us on July 9, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on February 2, 1950, in Gastonia, North Carolina, Margie spent her life in the loving embrace of family and friends, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the joy of knowing her.

Margie was a dedicated worker in the manufacturing industry, contributing her skills at Freightliner as a truck assembler. While her career was important to her, it was her role as a beloved wife, mother, and friend that defined her. She is survived by her cherished husband, David Oshan, and her devoted daughter, Beverly Deruby, along with her son-in-law, Ryan Deruby, grandson Grayson Geruby, who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

A true lover of life, Margie had a heart that overflowed with affection for both her family and her many furry friends. She loved her cats, enjoyed cooking delicious meals, and had a knack for collecting antiques. Her passion for Carolina beach music inspired many joyful moments spent dancing with loved ones. She especially cherished her trips to Asheville, where she would immerse herself in nature while hiking and exploring the beautiful landscapes. As well as going to as many NASCAR races with her husband as she could.

Margie was known for her competitive spirit, often seen enjoying her favorite game shows and hosting wonderful family gatherings filled with laughter and love. Her vibrant personality and warmth touched everyone around her, making her the heart of her family and community.

Margie Frances Oshan will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of everyone she touched.
