Margie Parton Chandler

Margie Parton Chandler, 91, of Gastonia, passed away April 23, 2018 at Courtland Terrace.

She was born May 30, 1926 in Cocke County, TN, daughter of the late John Holder Parton and Bertha Lou Ellison Parton.

The family would like to give special thanks to TLC for their care of Mrs. Chandler.

She is survived by her sons Stephen K. Chandler and Roger Gates and wife Cathy; daughters Ruth Ann Chandler, Vivian Pam Ramey and husband David and Teresa James and husband Doug; nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-greatgrandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Hugh D. Chandler; sons Harvey Hugh Chandler and Kenneth Gates; four brothers; five sisters.

A funeral service will be held 11 am Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, with the Revs. Doug James and Norman Greene officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Westview Gardens, Bessemer City.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
