Margaret Wright

Gastonia, NC Margaret Wright, age 84, passed away January 17, 2013, at Gaston Memorial Hospital, Gastonia. She was born June 23, 1928 in Gaston County, daughter of the late Charlie M. and Rosey Mae Williams Franklin. Mrs. Wright was a loving mother and grandmother. She was known to everyone that knew her as "Mom". Margaret was a member of Springwood Free Will Baptist Church, Belmont. She was employed by Pharr Yarns for 48 years. A funeral service will be held 2:30 pm on Monday at Springwood Free Will Baptist Church, Belmont, officiated by Revs. Jeff Silvers and Roger Franklin. The family will receive friends 7-9 pm on Sunday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia. Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia. She is survived by: sons, Glenn W. Wright and his wife, Laura of Gastonia, Ricky Wright of Gastonia; daughter, Brenda Watts of Gastonia; grandchildren, Wayne Wright and wife, Heather, Nicole Alm and husband, Jody of Gastonia, Donald Watts Jr. of Gastonia, Felicia Rose Taylor and husband, Randy of Belmont; 8 great grandchildren; special friends, Angel and Wayne McCullen. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: her husband, Kelly W. Wright; 13 brothers and sisters. Memorials may be made to Springwood Free Will Baptist Church, 220 Park Terrace, Dr., Belmont, NC 28012. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
