Margaret Sue Scott

Margaret Sue (Wiggins) Scott, 81, of Irmo, SC, passed away August 3, 2016 at her residence.  She was born in Gastonia, NC March 11, 1935.  She was first a Christian leader, a praiser, a singer, a musician, a teacher, sometimes a preacher, a mentor, a mother, grand & great-grandmother and she was Our "MOMMA HONEY".  Margaret was a member of the Church of God for over 75 years.  She won 11 trophies, singing for the Church of God senior talent competition (11 from N. Carolina State & 3 national).  She was a Minister's wife, and a music minister for 21 years, (deceased husband Rev. Frank Scott.  She also retired from Globe Mfg. of Gastonia, NC.

She is survived by 5 children:  Juwanna Cornelius, Rev. Judah Little, Rev. Bert Scott, Jon Scott, & Rev. Frank Scott.  She has 13 grandchildren & 5 great-grandchildren.  Her parents were Arthur and Lydia (Liddie) Maudie Wiggins & her loving step-mother Sarah Wiggins.  She is survived by her brother Jerry Wiggins & sister Annette Williamson & step-sister Joyce Wynn.  Waiting to greet her in glory her brothers Tommy & Bobby Wiggins.  We are also blessed to honor her pastor, Carl Overton, who she loves & considers to be a loving son.  We especially thank for your love & ministry to our Momma Honey.  We give honor & praise to God for His blessing us with the sweet life of Margaret Sue Wiggins Scott.

A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Carl Overton, Bishop Chris Moody, the Revs. Ron Branham, Bert Scott and Frank Scott, will be held 3 pm Saturday at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.

The family will receive friends 1-3 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Gaston Memorial Park.
