Margaret "Peg" Rose Barker, 80, of Gastonia, passed away September 5, 2018 at her residence.
She was born July 16, 1938 in Morris County, New Jersey, the daughter of the late John Konderock and Grace Florio Konderock.
Peg retired from Morristown Memorial Hospital as a registered nurse after 40 years of service.
She is survived by her son, David Goetchius and wife Tammy; daughters, Nancy Ormand and husband Brian, Kathleen Schimmel and husband Steve; grandchildren, Gavin Goetchius and wife Liz, Megan Goetchius, Kyle Goetchius, Samantha Ormand Brown and husband Zachary; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Carol Ader; and nephew, Brucie Ader and wife Sharon.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Barker; brother, John Konderock; and brother-in-law, Bruce Ader.
A graveside service will be held 2 pm Saturday at the Mausoleum Chapel in Westview Gardens, 1123 Edgewood Road, Bessemer City.
