Margaret Burr Palmeri

Margaret Burr Palmeri, 84, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2024, at her residence.

She was born in Gaston County on June 12, 1939, to the late Duncan and Lucile Burr.

Margaret was a United States Army veteran serving in Germany. She was a National Senior Games participant, receiving many medals. Margaret was a member of City Church for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, James Burr.

Margaret is survived by her son, Michael Palmeri; daughter, Deborah Palmeri Garner (David); brothers, Raymond Burr, Robert Burr (Pat); many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Saturday, February 3, 2024, from 1:00 – 2:00 pm, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052

A Graveside service officiated by Pastor Dickie Spargo will be held Saturday, February 3, 2024, 2:30 PM, at Gaston Memorial Park.
