Margaret Linkous

Shelby, NC Margaret Linkous, 87, formerly of Gastonia, passed away November 29, 2012, at Cleveland Regional Med. Ctr, Shelby. She was born August 21, 1925 in Tazewell, VA, daughter of the late Reece and Utoka Mundy. Mrs. Linkous was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Margaret thought, as the song says, Christmas was the most wonderful time of the year. She liked the "Young At Heart Club" in McAdenville. A funeral service will be held 1pm on Tuesday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, Gastonia, officiated by Rev. Wade Wallace. The family will receive friends 12 - 1 pm on Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home. The interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Peery Linkous, Melissa Scruggs, Cindy Foultz and Matthew Linkous; five great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: her husband of 50 years, Peery Walter Linkous; son William Moss Linkous. Memorials may be made to Gaston Hospice, P. O.
