Margaret Hopper Gordon

Margaret Hopper Gordon, 90, of Clover, passed away October 19, 2014 at Piedmont Medical Center. She was born May 13, 1924 native of York County, daughter of the late Bratton and Etta Hopper. Margaret attended Clover Liberty Pentecostal Church. She loved to witness to people about the Lord and pass out gospel tracks. She loved her family and her Lord and Savior. She is survived by her daughter, Kay Bailey; brother R.B. Hopper; sisters, Mildred Oates and Ann Ipock; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Gordon; son, Dick Gordon and sisters, Crystal Sipe, Myrtle Williams and Effie Jane Hopper. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm on Wednesday at Clover Liberty Pentecostal Church - 106 Price Street, Clover, SC officiated by Pastor Michael Coe. The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm Tuesday night at the Church. Burial will be in Woodside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society - 4530 Park Rd., Suite 240, Charlotte, NC 28209. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
