Margaret Carver

Margaret Janelle Lewis Carver ("Janelle"), age 84, born in 1941 in Avery County, North Carolina, and a longtime resident of High Shoals, NC, went to her eternal home on January 25, 2026.

 Janelle was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Virgil and Hazel Lewis; her devoted husband, Arnold Carver; her loving son, Douglas Carver; and many cherished friends and family members who welcomed her home.

 She is survived by her son, Keith Carver (Susan Carver) of Lincolnton, NC; her brother, Charles Lewis of Lincolnton, NC; her grandchildren, Brittany Carver Jones (Tyler Jones), Alexis Carver, Joshua Carver, Cami Carver, and Gabby Carver; and her great-grandchildren, Griffin Jones, Maeve Jones, and Kendall Pasour , and Mother of grandchildren Cami and Gabby: Candi Carver; along with many other important friends and family members.

Those who knew Janelle will forever remember her warm spirit, her love of long phone conversations with friends and family, and her unmistakable sense of style-especially her fondness for a great pantsuit. She found joy in shopping at Belk, tending to her garden, and relaxing at home. These simple pleasures, paired with her friendly nature, made her presence comforting and unforgettable.

 Friends and family will forever hold treasured memories of Janelle.

 A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm on Friday, January 30, 2026 at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, officiated by the Rev. Tommy Carver. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City, NC.
