Margaret Canipe

Margaret "Nancy" Canipe, 75, of Shelby, passed away December 28, 2014 at the Wendover Hospice House. She was born July 28, 1939 in Lancaster, SC the daughter of the late, Leroy "Lonnie" Craig and Mattie Hutto. She is survived by the father of her children, Robert "Buddy" Canipe; sons, Wendell B. Canipe and wife Victoria and Sandy T. Canipe all of Shelby; brother, Bobby Craig of Bessemer City; grandchildren, Christopher, Brittany, and Kate Canipe; great-grandchildren, Autumn and Jeffrey Mathies. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by sisters, Jenny Hudson and Rosa Lee and Samuel "Bud" Bumgarner. A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday at Westview Gardens - 1123 Edgewood Rd., Bessemer City, NC 28016, officiated by Dr. Mark Canipe. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Junior Charity League of Shelby - PO Box 1324, Shelby, NC 28151. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
