Margaret Lee Caldwell Lackey

Gastonia, NC - Margaret Lee Caldwell Lackey, 84, of Gastonia, passed away Wednesday, April 9th at Caromont Regional Med. Ctr. She was born May 4, 1929, native of Gaston County, daughter of the late Doyle and Esther Boch Caldwell. She retired from Pharr-Yarns after 50 years of service and loved her family dearly. She is survived by her son, Chris Lackey; daughters, Mary Carpenter and Sharon Lackey; 8 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by, her husband, Ralph Lackey and brother, J.D. Caldwell. A funeral service will be held 11 am on Saturday at Westside Hope Church of God, Gastonia, officiated by, Rev. Tony Hopper. The family will receive friends 6 - 8 pm on Friday at Greene Funeral Service - South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.
