Mamie Ruffin

Mamie Ruffin, 72, of Dallas, passed peacefully on Monday, December 20, 2021, with her children by her side.

Born on April 21, 1949, in Cherokee County, SC, Mamie was the daughter of the late Oscar Ramsey and Eunice Peeler Ramsey.

Mamie retired from Wix Filters after many years. She loved to garden and to work in her yard. Mamie was a very devoted and loving mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, Mamie is preceded in death by her brothers, Clyde, Howard, Eugene and Hubert; and sisters, Louise, Frances, Margaret Ann, and Guynita.

Left to cherish Mamie's memories are her son, James Ruffin, Sr. ; daughter, Teresa Campa; grandchildren, Jordan, Kaden, Hunter, Matthew, Bella and Reece Campa, Brittany Nicole Ruffin and James Ruffin, Jr.; great grandchildren, Brently and Madison Carver; and sister, Betty Jean Ammons.

A funeral service, officiated by Rev. Johnny Yarboro, will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, December 27, 2021, at the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 216 Archie Whitesides Rd, Gastonia, NC 28052.

The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Interment to follow the service at Gaston Memorial Park.
