Mackey "Dean" Crumbley, 70, of Gastonia, passed away January 26, 2015 at Caromont Regional Medical Center. She was born December 27, 1944 in Cherokee County, the daughter of the late Cecil and Catherine Ghorley. Dean was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles and flower gardening. She really adored her cats who were a big part of her life. Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 18 years, Charles Crumbley, Sr.; sons, Alan Davidson, Sr. and wife, Tammy of Dallas, Jeffrey Scott Davidson, Sr. of Gastonia; brothers, Larry Ghorley, Sr. and wife, Linda of Gastonia, Jackie Ghorley, Sr. of Dallas and Michael James Ghorley, Sr. and wife, Carla of Georgia; sister, Cathy Johnson of Bessemer City; 13 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and four step-children. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Robby Davidson; brothers, Danny Joe Ghorley, Randy McKinley Ghorley; sisters, Elizabeth Faye Ghorley and Barbara Brown. A service of remembrance will be held 2 pm Friday at Greene Funeral Service - South Chapel -1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by Pastor David Tucker. The family will receive friends 12:30 - 1:45 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Gaston Memorial Park. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
