Lynn Nivens Wortman

Lynn Nivens Wortman, 62, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2022, at Caromont Regional Medical Center.

She was born December 21, 1959, a native of Gaston Co., to the late James Nivens and Maxine Long.

In addition to her parents, Lynn was preceded in death by her brother, James Nivens Jr., and stepsister Vanessa Hill.

Lynn is survived by her husband of over 13 years, Mark Wortman; sons, Jason Bradley and Scott Wortman; stepbrothers, Charlie Hill, Arvel Hill, Hilton Hill, Carroll Hill, and Tim Hill; sisters in-law, Kay Spencer, Beth Ballard, and Janet Mann; and a number of aunts, uncles, nephews, and nieces.

A funeral service officiated by Pastor Thomas Holbrooks Jr., will take place 2pm, Thursday, June 2, 2022, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Olney Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
