Lydia Whitesides Duncan

Lydia Whitesides Duncan, 85, of Mt. Holly, passed away February 9, 2015 at the Robin Johnson House in Dallas. She was born November 23, 1929 native of Gaston County, the daughter of the late, Joe and Ella Whitesides. Lydia is survived by her husband, Paul Duncan of Mt. Holly; daughter, Joy Hyatt of Mt. Holly; sisters, Cora Lee Herron of Gastonia, Pauline Wyatt of Alexis, Helen Lynch of Belmont and grandchildren, Nikki Hart and husband, Donald of Gastonia and Roger Dale Duncan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Dean Duncan; sister, Alene Lynch and brother, John Whitesides. All services are private. Memorials may be made to Gaston Hospice (Robin Johnson House) - PO Box 3984, Gastonia, NC 28054. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
