Luther Derrell Saylors

Luther Derrell Saylors, age 79, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at Robin Johnson House in Dallas, North Carolina.
He was born in Atoka, Oklahoma on February 10, 1940.
He was a simple man with a heart of gold who thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family, sitting on his porch laughing and telling stories, playing cards with friends, and gardening. He lived a fulfilling life as a father and was extremely proud of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He never met a stranger and was loved by all. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed for his unique sense of humor, easy-going personality, and genuine care for others.
He is survived by his wife, Kaye; his children, Angie Bradshaw and her husband Robert, Amy Saylors, Alex Saylors and his wife Bonnie; his grandchildren, Kayce Bragg and her husband Greg, Addy Cox and her husband Austin, Staff Sergeant Luke Saylors, Jessy Musick and her husband Zac, Dr. Seth Saylors and his wife Olivia, Kyle Wilson, John Bradshaw and his fiancée Maggie; his great grandchildren, Grayson Bragg, Clark Saylors and Margo Musick.
Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
