Luther Brite Michaels, Jr., 94, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Monday, September 20, 2021, at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.
He was born July 23, 1927, in Gaston Co, NC, son of the late Luther Brite Michaels, Sr. and Mary Kelly Michaels.
Luther is survived by his sons, Noel Heffner (Lisa) and Michael Heffner; grandchildren, Bryan Heffner, Stacy Sullivan (Wes), Angela Cunningham (Cain), Kindall Carpenter, and Cassidy Williams ; and great grandchildren, Faith Cunningham, Nolan Heffner, Dawson Heffner, and Sgt. Zach Tram (Jordan).
A memorial service officiated by Pastor Ted Cole, III, and Pastor Larry Morrow, will be held at 6:00 pm, on Thursday, September 30, 2021, at Bethel Free Will Baptist Church – 329 Telegraph Dr., Gastonia, NC 28056.
The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the church.
