Lula Belle Beheler

Lula Belle Pitman Beheler, born March 17, 1940, in Mitchell County, NC, daughter of the late Earl Pitman and Pauline Snyder Pitman, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2024.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Paul Junior Beheler Sr; stepson whom she loved like her own, Steve Beheler and wife Kathy; sister, Juanita Pitman Miller; brother, Fred Lee Pitman.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Paul Beheler Jr. (Angie), Richard Beheler (Sarah), Larry Beheler (Cindy), Tim Beheler (Kayla); stepdaughter and stepsons whom she loved like her own, Peggy Beheler Wyatt and husband Dean, Paul Dennis Beheler and wife Deb, and Lynn Wilkie and wife Sheila; grandchildren, Brittany Beheler, Jessica Beheler, Josh Beheler, Lauren Beheler, Caitlin Beheler, CJ Beheler, Skylar Beheler; great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Taylor, Junior, Abby, Luke, Blakeley, Willa, Carlisle; and many step-grandchild, and step-great-grandchildren.

Belle taught Sunday School at Bright Light Baptist Church for 26 years. She was a devoted and faithful wife, mother and grandmother. Everyone who knew her knew of her love and faithfulness to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She has left a permanent void and will be dearly missed.

A funeral service officiated by Pastor Junior Morris, Pastor Bud Payne, Pastor Justin Driver, and Pastor Barry Goodman will be held Saturday, June 29, 2024, 3:00 PM, at Salem Baptist Church, 1534 Rolling Meadow Lane, Gastonia, NC 28054.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:45 PM at the church prior to the service. The burial will follow the service at Westview Gardens Cemetery in Bessemer City, NC.
