Luella Arlene Hardy

L uella Arlene Hardy, 85, of Crouse, passed away on March 21, 2016, at her home.

She was born June 25, 1930, in Cherokee County, daughter of the late Dewey Gay Jones and Laura Mae Phillips Jones.

Mrs. Hardy was a member of Harris Chapel Church of God in Murphy, N.C.

A funeral service will be held 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2016, at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd. Gastonia, officiated by the Rev. Jim Hall.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be noon on Friday, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Murphy, N.C.

Mrs. Hardy is survived by sons, Thomas and Wayne Beavers; daughters, Wanda Sue Eller, Brenda B. Bell, Nancy Herron and husband, Gary, Linda Foster and husband, Perry; brother, Ervin Jones; sisters, Viola Gibbie, Sadie Donaldson; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husband, Louis Hardy; brother, Bob Jones; sister, Dorothy Bryant.

Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
