Lucille Jenkins Weaver, 93, of Gastonia, passed away January 22, 2022, at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.

She was born April 5, 1928, in Gaston County, daughter of the late Henry Craig Jenkins and Vida Hayes Jenkins.

She was a member of Flint Groves Baptist Church, Gastonia.

She retired from Caromont Regional Medical Center where she worked as a nurse assistant.

Lucille was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She was a very caring and loving person.

A graveside service will be held 3:00pm Friday, January 28, 2022, at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Ronnie Bowers.

The family will greet friends after the service at the cemetery.

Lucille is survived by her son, Michael Weaver, (Yvonne); daughter, Donna Burgess (Tim); grandchildren, Lee Weaver (Stacy), Nick Burgess (Phoebe), Ashley Bolton, (Jamie), Ann Berry (Rick), Janet Reiter (Bryan); great-grandchildren, Josh Weaver, Richard Medina, Sarah Costa (Diego), Ryan Berry, Landon Weaver, Cole Burgess, Myles Burgess, Cooper Bolton; great-great grandchild, Jace Weaver.

In addition to her parents, Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, James Ernest Weaver; three sisters and four brothers.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
