Lucille Farmer Stines

Lucille Farmer Stines, 93, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Monday, April 1, 2024, at Caromont Regional Medical Center.

She was born August 1, 1930, in Clover, SC, to the late Viola Deas Farmer and Thomas Pralo Farmer.

She enjoyed gardening and loved gospel music. She also loved spending time with her family and friends. She spent most of her younger days raising her children.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband of 72 years, Ernest Stines. She is also preceded in death by her sisters, Helen Heffner, Martha Horner, Dale Buchanan, Ricky Farmer, and Frances McCarthy; brothers, Tommy Farmer, and Dean Farmer; and grandchild, Shanna Lee Stines.

Lucille is survived by her children, Nick Stines (Holly), Trudy Huffstetler (David), Sherry Stines, and Curt Stines (Lynne); sisters, Audrey Griggs (Dann), and Beverly McDonald; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A funeral service officiated by Linda Huffstetler, will be held 11am, Friday, April 5, 2024, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Burial will follow the service at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia.
