Lucille Fowler Smith

Lucille Fowler Smith, 82, of Bessemer City, passed away on April 6, 2017, at Catawba Regional Hospice House, Newton.

She was born April 29, 1934, in Gaston county, daughter of the late Thomas Fowler and Oveda Martin Short.

She was employed with Rauch Industries for over 30 years.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 pm Sunday, April 9, 2017, at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd. Gastonia, officiated by the Rev. Joan Grigg.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Smith is survived by sons, Dennis Baldock, Bruce Baldock and wife Pat; sister, Linda Lefevers; brother, Harold Short; grandchildren Cathy, Curtis, April; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Catawba Regional Hospice 3975 Robinson Road Newton, NC 28658 or charity of donor's choice.

Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
