Louise Ann "Lulu" Thomas, 56 of Gastonia, passed away November 3, 2017 at Caromont Regional Medical Center.
A Gaston County native, she was born November 9, 1960, the daughter of Sally Rhyne of Gastonia and the late Louie Rhyne.
She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother who would help anyone in need.
In addition to her father, Ms. Thomas was preceded in death by her brother, Steven McBride and sister, Teresa Thompson.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Michael Beachum of Gastonia; children, James Thomas and girlfriend, Debbie Davis of Gastonia, Cindy Thomas and husband Vince of Gastonia; nine grandchildren, Brittany, Carrie, Destiny, Lyrik, Kayley, Brianna, Rhythm, Cadence, and Harmonie; one great-grandchild on the way, Ava Louise Detter; brother, Johnny Rhyne and wife Karen of Dallas; sisters, Debbie Peninger and husband Mike of Gastonia, Tina Clayton of Cherryville; and longtime friend, Frances McMillian of Gastonia
A funeral service, officiated by Pastor David Stewart, will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Garver Memorial Baptist Church, Gastonia.
The family will receive friends, Wednesday, November 8, from 6 until 8 pm at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.
Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
