Lorissa Dawn Norman

Lorissa Dawn Norman, 45, of Shelby, NC, formerly of Mt. Airy, passed away June 17, 2024, at Wendover Hospice House.

She was born on March 31, 1979, to the late Darrell Wesley & Naomi Ruth Scruggs.

Lorissa was a very kind & giving person. She was selfless and a loving mother & sister. She loved watching WWE and Law and Order SVU.

She is survived by her sons, Derek Scruggs and fiancé Samantha Sullens, Brandon McGee, all of Shelby, NC; brother, Shawn Allen & wife Bethany Nicole of High Point, NC; niece and nephew, Mackenzie Nicole & Levi Wesley of High Point; numerous aunts and uncles. Other family, Johnny & Nora Dunn of Shelby, Jacob & Patty Sullens of Shelby, Nathaniel Sullens of Shelby, Zoey Elizabeth Diane of Shelby, best friend, Renee Thompson of Shelby, adopted son, Mark "Yeti" Yetso of Thomasville, NC, niece, Kristen Dean of Shelby.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024, 1:00 PM, at Moss Lake Picnic Shelter, 855 New Camp Creek Church Rd, Kings Mountain, NC. At other times, the family is receiving friends at the home.
