Lorene Panter Tucker

Lorene Panter Tucker, 88, of Gastonia, passed away August 2, 2012 at her residence. She was born May 3, 1924 in Cherokee County, NC, daughter of the late Barney Cornelius and Luranie Simons Panter. Mrs. Tucker was a member of South Gastonia Church of God. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm on Sunday at South Gastonia Church of God, officiated by Rev. Bobby Gilley and Rev. Sam Barrnett. A visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 pm Saturday at the church. Interment will be at Union Presbyterian Church, Gastonia. Mrs. Tucker is survived by: her daughter, Jan Braswell and spouse Bryon of Gastonia; grandchildren, Angela Blanton and spouse Tracy of Mooresboro, Donna Albea and spouse Lewis of Forest City, Amy Purser and spouse Terry of Gastonia, Beth Braswell of Gastonia; great grandchildren, Amber Purser, Cory Edwards, Tyler Wood, Carson Wood. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by: her spouses, Eric Leggett and Luke Tucker; daughter, Barbara Louise; son, Wayne Edward; 11 siblings; great grandchild, Joshua Edwards. Memorials may be made to South Gastonia Church of God - Kids Ministry, 310 Carolina Avenue Gastonia, NC 28052.
