Lorene Clark

Lorene Truett Clark, 88, of Kings Mountain, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2025, at Caromont Regional Medical Center.  She was born in Cherokee County NC to the late Dallos and Annie Mae Truett.  Lorene was a dedicated worker in the cotton textile industry and retired after many faithful years of service from Dixie Yarn.  She dearly loved her children and grandchildren and was often found working word search puzzles.  In her younger days she enjoyed embroidery and cross stitch.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Ann Marlow (Tracy) and Donna Gunter (Joe), grandchildren Shelly Wright, Samantha Toney (Cameron), Joseph Gunter, Nathan Marlow and Camron Marlow, 8 great grandchildren, brother Leroy Truett (Sis), several nieces, nephews, and friends.

A service to celebrate Lorene's life will be held 2 pm Monday, January 6, 2025, at the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service Gastonia with the Rev. Greg Neely, officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.  Lorene will be laid to rest at Westview Gardens Cemetery beside her late husband William Ray Clark.

Lorene was preceded in death by her husband, parents, son William Ray Clark Jr., brothers Charles Truett and JD Truett.
