Lorene Byrd Christopher, 73, of Gastonia, passed away August 7, 2018 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.
She was born February 16, 1945, a native of Gaston County, the daughter of the late William Hardin Byrd and Vernie Ruth Johnson.
Lorene is survived by her sons, Rogie Byrd and wife Roma and Danny Christopher; daughters, Carolyn Bridges and husband Michael and Neda Christopher; brothers, Billy, Ronnie and Bobby Byrd; sisters, Sue Shehane and Louise Cook; grandchildren, Crystal Brown, Mindy Winstead, Barry Collins Jr. and Nathaniel Collins; great-grandchildren, Charity, Abby, Josiah and Sarah Brown.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Wilburn Christopher and brother, Donnie Byrd.
A memorial service, officiated by Pastor Marie Dunn will be held 2 pm Saturday, August 11th at Faith and Praise Assembly, 1413 Spencer Mountain Road, Gastonia.
The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
