Lonnie "Baby Joe" Ensley

Lonnie "Baby Joe" Ensley, 64, of Smyre, NC, passed away Monday, March 25, 2024, at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte, NC.

He was born August 7, 1959, in Gaston Co, NC, son of the late Paul Ensley and Minnie Ensley.

Baby Joe was a member of Fraley Memorial Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Dustin Ensley; brothers, Wilson Ensley, and Ronnie Graham; sister, Polly Braddy; and niece, Karli Elliott.

Baby Joe is survived by his daughter, Nicole Ensley; brother, Garland "Jack" Ensley; sister, Beverly "Bessie" Ensley Elliott and husband Jim Elliott; five grandchildren, Jerome, Mariah, Ansley, Devin, and Dalton; nephews, Colt Ensley, Donnie Braddy, Duane Braddy, and Paul Ensley, III; and nieces, Lori Walton, Amanda Davis, Jacqueline Parton, Pam Braddy, Kelly Elliott, and Jada Elliott.

The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00pm, Friday, March 29, 2024, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.
