Lon "Clem Bob" Buckner

Lon "Clem Bob" Buckner, 58, of Lawndale, passed away September 15, 2024, at Atrium Cleveland in Shelby.

He was born April 22, 1966, in Cleveland County, son of the late Elmer Buckner and Shirley Daves Buckner.

Clem Bob loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially his grandbabies. He loved his fur babies, Karma, Jazzy and Copper.

He loved being outdoors and enjoyed taking trips to the mountains. He enjoyed taking hikes in the woods and the mountains and seeing waterfalls.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 pm Sunday, September 22, 2024, at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Road Gastonia.

The family will receive friends 2-3 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

Clem Bob is survived by his loving wife of over 24 years, Debbie Phillips Buckner; daughters, Taylor Buckner Sympson (Bryan), Christy Edwards Furr (Nick); brother, Otis Buckner; sisters, Shawna Rudisill (Ray Von), Kathy Buckner; precious grandchildren, Dakota White, Chase White, Maevis Sympson.

In addition to his parents, Clem Bob was preceded in death by brothers, Edward Elmer Buckner, Ralph Nichols Jr.; sister, Tammy Renee Buckner Todd.
