Lois Ann Priest

Aug 7, 1938 — Aug 12, 2026

Lois Ann Priest, 88, of South Carolina, peacefully entered her heavenly home on August 12, 2026, leaving behind a remarkable legacy of faith, love, service, and devotion to God.

Born on August 7, 1938, Lois devoted her life to the calling God placed upon her. As a Christian minister, she faithfully served the Lord and the people around her, sharing the Gospel not only through the words she spoke, but through the life she lived. Her faith was not simply something she professed-it was the foundation of who she was.

Lois was a cherished member of South Gastonia Church of God, where her love for God and compassion for others were evident to everyone who knew her. She possessed a servant's heart and was always willing to pray, encourage, give, and lend a helping hand to someone in need. Throughout her life, she touched countless people through her ministry, her kindness, and her unwavering belief in the goodness and faithfulness of God.

Above all else, Lois loved the Lord. She lived her life believing that this world was not her final home and that the promises of God were eternal. The faith she preached throughout her life became the promise she entered into on August 12.

Lois is survived by her loving son, Cliff Priest, who will carry forward the faith, strength, determination, and values his mother instilled in him.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Bessie Lane, and her twelve siblings. After a lifetime spent pointing others toward Heaven, Lois has now gone home to the Lord she loved and faithfully served.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Lois's life and honor her memory at Greene Funeral Service South Chapel. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 20, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, August 21, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Greene Funeral Service South Chapel, officiated by Pastor Bobby Gilley and Pastor Austin Rammell.

Those who knew Lois will remember far more than the dates of her birth and passing. They will remember a woman who loved God, loved people, believed deeply, served faithfully, and remained steadfast in her faith.

Her earthly ministry has ended, but the seeds she planted in the lives of others will continue to bear fruit for generations.

"Well done, thou good and faithful servant... enter thou into the joy of thy lord." - Matthew 25:21
