Lois Ward Henderson

Lois Ward Henderson, 84, of Gastonia, went to be with the Lord, February 5, 2015 at Caromont Regional Medical Center. She was born April 24, 1930 in Durham, NC, the daughter of the late Geary and Pearl Ward. Lois was a member of Lowell Church of God. She loved the Lord, her family and her church family. The family wishes to express a special thank you to neighbor, Mike Lail and son, Kevin Lail for their loving care. Lois is survived by her son, Ricky Henderson and fiancé Lynn Reinhardt; daughters, Sandy Moore and husband, Vernon, Gail Wilson, Sharon Bingham and husband, Don, Tammie Heffner and husband, Rev. Joe; son-in-law, Calvin Jackson; 18 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Richard Henderson, Sr.; daughter, Patty Jackson; brother Earl Doc Ward; sisters, Ruth Cecil and Ruby Aldridge and daughter-in-law, Laura Howell Henderson. A funeral service will be held 2 pm Monday at Lowell Church of God - 804 West 1st Street, Lowell, officiated by the Revs. Joe Heffner and Andy Nicholson. The family will receive friends 5 - 8 pm Sunday at the church. Burial will be in Gaston Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Lowell Church of God, PO Box 803, Lowell, NC 28098.
